As some of you know, I’ve been forging a lot of copper moons of late.

I’ve been quite jazzed over these moon tassels….my favorite heavy sumptuous chain in an antique silver finish, warm, textural copper and antique beads….what’s not to love?

This set’s bead clusters consist of antique Nigerian glass beads known as ‘false coral’….if a fiery red-orange could be subtle, they nailed it. Also in the mix are quartz discs (ancient, Mali) and Berber bench beads.

These tassels’ virtues lie in their versatility. Hang them at the temples for a simple headpiece. Tack them at the hips for a little zing on your belts. Hang them at your door for house charms when they’re not adorning you. They’re a Swiss Army Knife in your costume trunk.

I send the tassels with a pair of little forged copper hooks to make immediate hanging a snap. If you use the hooks to hang the tassels for performance, I would recommend putting some pressure on the hooks to ‘close’ them before taking stage.

Elsewhere, I’m putting it at $35. If I’m way off, that is if it’s way over what the actual cost is, I’ll do a partial refund. I’ll be using USPS First Class unless there’s a better way. Canada, I’ve heard about UPS brokerage fees. I won’t do anything RASH without consulting the buyer.
