This is a fabulous pair of Japanese Toshikane enameled porcelain duck in flight on a white background cufflinks. The shiny gold tone square cufflinks have a smooth border that frames the porcelain plaque. A high relief, intricately detailed duck that looks like a mallard has a green head and tail with shades of brown feathers highlighted with gold. The textured white background that has raised small dots. Always done by hand, toshikane porcelain has wonderful dimension, a shiny glaze and a matte background.
A nice size, they measure 3/4 inch square and 1/8 inch thick.
The cufflinks are in good vintage condition. There is wear on the metal due to age and normal use, and one toggle and shank is discolored.
The back of each cufflink is signed Japan, and a fan shaped makers mark I am unable to identify.
All items are carefully wrapped, placed in a new gift box and tied with curling ribbon.
This item will be shipped via USPS first class mail. If you want to purchase insurance, email me and I will add that cost to the item. Uninsured items that are lost or damaged in transit are the responsibility of the buyer.
