Item Details.
Black and raspberry pink silk gentleman’s waistcoat with the most wonderful brocade pattern on the lapels and centre front with birds and decorative floral foliate elements. All finished off with absinthe green accents.

Woven for the purpose, the skill of the weaver is extraordinary.

The waistcoat is lined in a delicate soft brown polished cotton chintz and it fastens down the centre front with hand stitched button holes and tiny jet buttons.

Condition.
The condition is outstanding for an item of this era. Some light wear around armholes.
