Blue lapis lazuli tie clip. This is a A quality piece of lapis. This clip is solid deep purple blue lapis stone. It has no less desirable calcite or pyrite and is the ideal of lapis blue. 2 1/8” by 1/4”. Mounted on a high quality chromed clip. Masculine and eye catching! We use no dye or fake polish. Our stone has a satin gloss finish.
* note, if you look very carefully you can see very faint lines that look like scratches. They are not scratches and are deep within the stone. The camera is so powerful that it shows detail that can barelybe seen by eye.

Know your lapis!!!
Very fine lapis is deep purple blue solid stone. White calcite and gold pyrite spots are less desirable, although pyrite alone in small attractive gold color flecks are acceptable and quite pretty. Some lapis is lighter blue due to high calcite mixed throughout, and is a lower quality, but can less expensive and be attractive as well (denim lapis). Beware ot the Dyed and crushed versions that are common now and are poor substitutes. So be careful and read descriptions.
