Antique French vest linen 1910s 1920s vintage waistcoat checked Edwardian era gents chore workwear work cinch buckle back

Vintage circa 1910s-20s French checked linen gent’s waistcoat.

No maker’s mark, no size label- just a laundry marker inked inside the collar and a stitched one at the back belt. Please refer to the measurements below.

Linen fronted with mother of pearl buttons,hand stitched button holes, cotton lining and brass cinch buckled belt at the back marked Solide Paris. An ivory colour with a faded blue check.

Some mottled feint marks at the front, its faded and the colour uneven. General minor wear here and there commensurate with its age.This is at least a hundred years old – not a “fashion” repro item.Some light seam edge wear at the edges, some general wear. Characterful, intact and charming.
