Mens 1920s-1930s black vest waistcoat shawl collar S-XS 36-37

Vintage Frenchwaistcoat/vest. Early 20th Century. Bespoke item, originally made for a man. Four silk covered buttons. Matt black wool fabric with silk ribbon piping to the edges. Two external pockets. Cottoninterior. Would fit a modern S up to 36-37″ chest

Some wear to the fabric and discoloration to the interior as shown.The position ofbuttons have been adjusted at some point for a previous owner. Note the very small wear-hole between second and third buttons, as shown in the photos. This is a vintage item so imperfections and marks should be expected. Item has been steamed and lightly pressed but not chemically drycleaned.

Note the length is quite short by modern standards as these are meant to be worn with high waisted trousers.

No marked size. These are the actual measurements laid flat and buttoned up with adjustment strap loosened:

Armpit to armpit: 19″ 48cm
Across waist: 17″ 43
Length down front: 21.5″ 54cm
