Silk Necktie “Brown and Rust”, Hand Painted Silk Tie, Brown Necktie

This one-of a-kind necktie was created by me using fiber-reactive dyes in brown, rust, charcoal, bronze, and a touch of purple. I apply the dyes in layers, allowing the piece to dry between applications.The overall effect creates a marbleized 3-dimensional look, adding depth to this piece.

I start with plain white silk charmeuse, dye the fabric, and send the pieces to be professionally custom sewn for me. My ties are slightly longer than normal tie length in order to make them a comfortable fit for more people.

Ties are approximately 59″ long and 3-3/4″ at the widest point. I recommend dry cleaning in order to maintain the original shape of the tie.
