Beautiful clip in excellent condition, still tight. The enamel is intact as it was made.

Just about 9/16″ (1.45 cm) tall by 2-3/16″ (5.6 cm) wide including the bar. The Enamel portion is just under 1″ (2.4 cm) wide. Marked ‘925 S Sterling Norway’ along with the pictorial makers mark of OF Hjortdahl. Weight – 6.4 g / .23 oz.

This little Oslo flower is the hallmark of designer Olav Fritjof Hjortdahl of the O.F Hjortdahl company in Oslo Norway. There is a discrepancy in the information I find in regards to the exact dates this company was in business versus the artists lifetime dates. I believe this artist opened his shop in 1911, however other information suggests it was open in 1887. The artist died in 1954, yet it’s believed the shop closed in 1970. This hallmark is still very collectible today.
